Embodying GloW’s mission to advancing women’s health, this conference served as a pivotal forefront, delving into ground-breaking discussions and setting the stage for transformative initiatives.
Our conference had the privilege of welcoming distinguished figures including Ms. Indranee Thurai Rajah, Second Minister of Finance and National Development. Ms. Thurai Rajah graced the launching ceremony of GloW, where Prof. Cuilin Zhang, founding director of GloW, officially inaugurated the centre.

We were also honored to have Prof. Michelle A. Williams, Dean of the Harvard School of Public Health, and Prof. Marcia C.de Castro, Chair of the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, deliver informative speeches on prioritizing and investing in women’s health and well-being.
Prof. Frank B. Hu, Chair of the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, also shared invaluable insights into eastern and western dietary patterns and their health benefits.
Furthermore, Prof. Walter Willett, Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, addressed the crucial theme of sustainability, shedding light on the importance of adopting plant-based diets to promote planetary health.
Moreover, in a remarkable session on proteomic research, Prof. Jie Qiao, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, imparted profound knowledge on cutting-edge insights into human embryonic development and its potential clinical applications.
